Marcela and Stefano started their professional career as a couple in 2002 in Taipei: the opera was “ Maria de Buenos Aires” by Astor Piazzolla, directed by the Argentinian conductor Juan Josè Mosalini. At the moment they are part of different Dance Companies, performing in different shows:
- “Tango Vivo”: directed by Esteban Moreno and Claudia Codega, a “Biennale de la Dance de Lyon”’s production, with the ”El Arranque” Orchestra. The show made its debut in Lyon –France- in September 2006.
- “Storie di Tango”: the show is a mix of dance and poetry, performed in the theatres all around Italy since October 2005, with the famous actor Arnoldo Foà reading poems by Jorge Luis Borges.
- “Tango”: the new show of the Roberto Herrera Dance Company, with the Ensemble Hyperion Orchestra, in theatres since February 2007.
They produced three different shows in the years 2005, 2006 e 2007:
- “Tango a Pugliese”: celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the famous Maestro, the show was a mix of remembrances of Pugliese’s life and dance performances of world famous dancers, music played by the Color Tango Orchestra.
- “Buenos Aires Hora Cero”: mix of music, acting and dancing debuted in Turin in April 2006, with four couples of dancers on stage, music performed by the Ensemble Hyperion Orchestra.
- “Tango Apasionado” is their most recent creation, which debuted in April 2007. Five couples of extraordinary dancers dance out a fantastic journey through the suggestive Buenos Aires atmospheres, at the rhythm of traditional and modern music played by Ensemble Hyperion Orchestra, featuring the singer Gabriela Maulu. Each year they are invited to numerous international tango festivals and to perform in the most celebrated milongas, from Italy to Buenos Aires.
They organize the annual Torino Tango Festival that takes place every year since 2001 at the Lingotto in Turin during the Easter festivities: an international event that, due to the great success of the previous editions, has become one of the most important Tango events in Europe today.
They organize since 2007 International Festival of Tango on the Sea in cooperation with Costa Cruises
They currently teach tango in Italy in cities such as Turin, Asti and Lucca, and work on stages abroad for many different associations.
